who also happens to live in the dorms was doing laundry at the same time as me tonight. she asked me why i never talk in class. she said she would’v talked to me one time but i had my music goin. i don’t have much interest in her, but i’ll give her a chance. we’ll see how this goes…
And I got this magizine called “External” and it’s all this snowboarding stuff and we don’t have a subcription to it, so it was super sketch. But it made me think of Bradley. Come home as soon as possible, I miss you!

i couldn’t get this part of the show out of my head all last night. it was by far my favorite part. so i listened to it on my ipod on the way to class this morning. i had the biggest smile on my face. as soon as i got back to my room i played it again. guess what? the dance? i still got it.
I don’t know why, but I find these elements of nature to be so beautiful in their own ways. I feel the most profound connection to them all.
Earth - Massive cliffs, mountains, you name it. I love the rocky, jagged parts of earth. I feel a connection to mountains through snowboarding and their sheer beauty. It’s incredible that something could start as flat land and end up miles tall.
Water - Whenever I am underwater, I feel home. Its really weird to explain to people that I like holding my breath underwater because of the deep sense of calmness achieved and the feeling of the flow of water moving all around you. Water creates beautiful shapes and colors, but carries the power to destroy entire towns, while sustaining life at the same time. Snow as we know is frozen water, adding to the connection I have with it through snowboarding. I love the smell of the rain, I love the feeling of water in general.
Fire - Terribly destructive power. Entire forests reduced to ash. Yet I can’t help but stare at a flame for hours on end. It moves with such grace almost as though it’s dancing and putting on a performance for me. Although incredibly dangerous, it is very fun to play with.
Air - The unmistakeable feeling of walking outside in the early morning and taking a large inhale of fresh air. So crisp it tingles the senses. cooperating with water to sustain life, it’s part of why I’m here. A breeze can cut through your hair or a gust can cut through a tree. The movement of air. The movement of ideas.
Going to school in the U.P. has really opened my senses to all the wonders in nature that grace this planet. I feel quite an attachment to nature now, more powerful than I’ve ever felt
sometimes you just have to rid your life of the people that bring you down. Sometimes years of friendship isn’t a good enough reason to keep trying. I’m done with it, I’m over it, our friendship has always been rocky, it’s time to move on.
